Thanks to our ongoing efforts to operate as greenly as possible, Devices for Teams has recently been declared a Carbon Neutral site by ClimatePartner.
How our carbon emissions were calculated
We collaborated with ClimatePartner to calculate our Corporate Carbon Footprints (CCFs), which include energy use, waste generation, and all commuting and business travel.
Since not all activities produce just carbon emissions, everything is converted into CO2 equivalents (CO2e). This standardised unit, with a 10% safety margin, helps determine our investment in offset projects worldwide
How we achieved Carbon Neutrality
Carbon Offsetting
We offset a lot of our carbon by contributing to a carbon offset project in Brazil.
Greener Commutes
We incentivised our staff to walk, cycle or carpool to work, reducing carbon emissions.
Recyclable Material
We ensured that we only used recyclable packaging when shipping devices.
Renewable Energy
Where possible, we switched our energy and electricity to more renewable sources.
How does carbon offsetting work?
Carbon offsetting involves funding projects worldwide that aim to prevent, reduce, or remove carbon emissions.
Carbon offset projects must meet international standards, such as the Gold Standard or the Verified Carbon Standard, and are regularly audited by third parties. ClimatePartner has over 400 internationally verified carbon offset projects available for businesses to start funding.
